Pictured: Carolyn and her cherries. We all know that she's mildly obsessed with the fruit. On Friday, home from the farmer's market, she's making sure that each one is perfectly dry so they don't get soggy or moldy.... I didn't have the heart to tell her that they'd be eaten faster than either of those situations could happen. :>) Other events on Friday were to visit Lisa at work, shopping in downtown (while sampling oodles of cherry products), homemade curry by Chef Louis, and a trip to the point where there's a cool, old lighthouse.
This was Sunday afternoon. On Sunday, we'd gone to Mini McKinnon's baby shower at grandma's house. I was happy to hear that the quacamole I'd made (without any lime or lemon juice) was a hit. :>) Everyone else helped to set up the food and the Jens made a cheese tray. After that, we went to the city beach. Pictured: Louis is making sure to guard everyone's purses and wallets while we play in the sand and water.
Saturday evening. On Saturday, we'd gone to the Sleepy Bear Dunes (a national park) and had lunch at a nice, outdoor restaurant on the way home. That evening, we made pizza for dinner. I like almond cheese. It's very close to mozerella, yet non-dairy. That night, we had a baby shower with presents from all of us and Lisa's family, and then a bonfire when it got dark. mmm smores! Pictured: Lisa as we watched our guys build the bonfire in her backyard.
Pictured: Sunset with Traverse City Bay. This was taken on Friday night on our way home from the lighthouse. A "Kodak Moment", if you will.

thanks for the update. ..yes, after visiting the cherry capital of the world and listening to Greg's sage advice, I am now starting to wonder about my "wet cherry" theory. Perhaps the mold and yucky gushiness come just from time, not from damp. Anyway, Lisa's cherries were the best! Many fine memories from our trip, not just about cherries :b
