Mom Update 2

Aside from having another day where I'd just looove to quit work, two good things happened. One, Phillip brought me lunch; a sandwich of the tuna-n-egg salad stuff his mom makes. YUM!

Two, Mom is actually getting better. Last night, Dad said that she was responsive enough that she'd be awake to talk to someone, but if they weren't actually talking, that she'd just immediately go back to sleep. She had some nice visits with Granda and Papa, Dan, and Dad, of course. Today, Dad says that her condition improved throughout the day. She's eaten a lovely hospital meal, visited with Louis and Margie, and has "graduated" down to the next smalled air machine. Yea! Dad also said that she was able to stay awake for longer intervals. It feels so good to hear that there's improvement.

Tomorrow, I think that us Maloon kids will be making a trip to the hospital to see Mom. KT gets off work at 1pm in San Jose, and I'm supposed to be at work by 5pm in Castro Valley. Annoying, but our schedule can meet somewhere in the middle.
