Last Weekend

September 25-27, 2009

Dad's coworker has a house in Arnold, CA. We went up for a week or so. I was there for just a weekend. The house has two bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs; a bedroom, full bathroom, kitchen, family room downstairs, and a enclosed poarch and game room attached to the house. It was a warm weekend, but not unbearable.

On Saturday, we went to Calaveras Big Trees State Park. We playd cards, BBQed lunch, and took the girls on a walk while Dan and Tracy went fishing at the lake. George kept Mom company at our picnic table.

Sunday was a short day for me and KT. We made breakfast and left town. Kate had to be at work that night and study/review for her new internship at Stanford. When we left, Dad and Dan were already out fishing, Tracy was reading, Faoland and Kieran were collecting more varieties of rocks and pinecones in the backyard, Aeryn was down for a nap, and Mom was still asleep. :>)

It was a nice area and I wouldn't mind if my parents decided to retire up there. I'd go back for a ski trip (and not ski, of course).
